The Benefits of an NM ASA Umpire
 1.  $10,000,000 Liability Insurance
 2.  Excess Accident Medical Expense Insurance

 4.  ASA Training for umpires
 5.  For your Registration fee of $46.00 you receive
      #1 - #4 plus:
      a.  Umpire Rule Book
      b. Pre-season Balls & Strikes
      c.  ID Card
 6.  As a registered ASA umpire you can obtain rule
      interpretations, attend ASA rule clinics, and the
      regular and advance National Umpire Schools
 7. ONLY ASA Umpires are selected to officiate State,
     Regional, and National Tournaments
 8. ONLY ASA Umpires are eligible to apply for ISF
     (International Softball Federation) certification which
     is required to umpire World Championship, Pan
     American Games and the Olympics.
9. ASA Umpires ONLY are eligible to apply for the
    MEDAL PROGRAM just for being an ASA Umpire
    a.  Blue -     3 years
    b.  Bronze - 5 years
    c.  Silver - 15 years
    d.  Gold -  20 years
10.ONLY ASA umpires can apply for the National Indicator
    Fraternity and be recognize in the Hall of Fame, Umpire/Case
    Book for the umpiring experience and accomplishments.
11. ONLY ASA umpires are eligible for the ASA/USA
    Elite Umpire Program based on their outstanding umpire
    ability.

12. All forms to sign up for one of the Medal Programs or the National Indicator Award can be found at the National website Register ASA . once you have printed off your invoice and send it to the NMASA STATE OFFICE.  YOUR umpire registration will then be approved.  Remember you must also send the BGC info with your invoice.
